Who we are…

Provide-A-Ride offers free Taxi Rides for people who are too impaired to drive. Provide-A-Ride pays the cab company to take these people home. All the the monies we raise goes to our FREE TAXI PROGRAM.

How it works…

When a drinker is suspected of being too intoxicated to drive, the Bar/Restaurant Management at the establishment will call the Napoleon Taxi Company. The patron gets a free, safe taxi ride home, and PAR pays the cab fees on behalf of the rider. At Community Events, such as the Friday Cheers, a PAR representative will call for cabs for those people who should not drive.

In 2011 in Central Virginia . . .
  • There were almost 3,500 DUI convictions.
  • There were 33 fatalities, 650 injuries, and 1,092 accidents related to alcohol.
  • 62% of all alcohol-related accidents resulted in injuries or fatalities.
