PAR’s Plan-A-Ride Program is a comprehensive project to bring alternative transportation to Central Virginia, and to encourage people to add planning for a safe way to home, when they plan to go out and drink.
There are Five key components:
1. A Comprehensive Designated Driver Program
2. A Program to sell taxi fare cards to Individuals and Businesses. (Under Development)
3. Our ‘Put PAR in your party‘ campaign, to encourage everyone to include safe ways home for all the Corporate, Social, and Community events that serve alcohol.
4. Our ‘Provide A Ride’ free taxi program as a backup plan, if no other options are available.
5. Our .08 Breathalyzer program helps people know when there BAC is over the legal limit!
